I absolutely hated... the fact that I couldn't put this book down. I had to force myself to do so because I wanted to draaaag out this funny, wonderful story! Gregori (Gori, for short - love that!) is in deep trouble -- he's been chosen to represent the Vampires to the President of the U.S. who's just learned that they exist. It's a tricky task balancing showing that Vampires are not to be feared while also trying to not look like a total wimp.
Abigail Tucker is the eldest daughter of the president and a scientist determined to discover a way to save her terminally ill mother's life. She also doesn't believe in Vampires because scientifically they can't exist -- until she meets Gregori.
There is, naturally, an immediate attraction and inability in both to not think about the other. There is fun (as there is in all of Sparks' books) and excitement (again) and a beautiful romance and it was just so hard to believe that it was actually over when I closed the back cover of the book. I wanted it to go on and on.
